Peeing, Pooping, before running the Boston Marathon

I've run boston 3 times, and never seen a girl poo in front of everyone.

Though there are a lot of ppl that use home owners bushes and what not. They tell you like 500 times to stay off private property.

Dispite what they tell you, you don't have to be in the starting corral 1 hr before the start. So you should have plenty of time to stand in line at a portajohn and poo.

I've seen women peeing, but never taking a dump at Boston. 3 years ago there was a funny story in the Hopkington newspaper about a woman who went outside to check her tomato plants after the race started.........and found a dirty tampon hanging in them.

I do remember watching Uta Pippig crap herself during the last few miles of Boston in the mid '90s. Diarrhea running down the back of her legs. She sure was fast to grab one of those metallic blankets to wrap around her waist afterwards. Hey - you gotta do what you gotta do to win!

At the Rock N Roll Marathon, I hit the 20 mile on pace for my goal time, but then had the worst stomach cramp. So anyways, 4 miles later I went behind this goth band that was playing, and took a shit behind a tree where they were. The crowd started cheering+screeming for me and gave me high fives(didnt even wipe my ass). Then I PR'd in 2:39, u gotta do what u gotta do

HAHAHAHAHAHAH damn, that just made my day, nah i only shat once, it was a typo. I was pretty embarassed. I've never run Boston, but I can definitely understand why people do it

Little known fact: there is an unspoken rule at Boston. You can poop, pee, or vomit wherever you want to. You just have to point to your discharge afterwards and yell "STILL IN THA GAME BABY! FROM PHILLY TO BOSTON!"

If you do that, all is forgiven.

a few years ago, i was at the start line of the first wave in a big city marathon/half marathon. Just before the start, a female walked over to the sidewalk near the start, wrapped a garbage bag around her waist, and squatted. There were no bushes or yards, just the road and the sidewalk, surrounded by buildings. At the time, i had no idea what she was doing, but noticed the telltale puddle after she stood up and walked back to the start line. It seemed so inconsequential, i figure it must happen all the time at bigger events.

The problem would be much less if marathons would assemble the World's Longest Urinal at their event as the NYC Marathon used to have before doing away with it.

There must have been a problem with it or the NYRR would have continued to use it at Fort Wadsworth.
