lol, also: “Kate did better with BTC” which is why she’s blown the doors off of her PRs several times over since moving to Team Boss.
You’re just speaking nonsense.
She won the Olympic trials in 2016 and didn’t make a world team or run an 800m PR until joining Team Boss. BTC was clearly not a great fit.
I think the "Kate clearly underperformed at BTC" narrative is a bit overblown.
End of the day she still did fine at BTC. She moved with the intention of trying out the 1500m more as she got older, and indeed her 1500 PR is from her time with BTC. She had a solid season in 2019, but was pipped to the team by Nikki Hiltz who was having a perfect year. However like in 2032, Grace couldn't quite get her peak just right either, having her best 1500 and 800s after US trials (5th in Paris DL, 2nd Zurich DL, plus wins and a 1500 PB in Zagreb and Minsk).
She made the call that she still had a better shot making teams in the 800 and left BTC since it isn't much of an 800 group (somewhat ironically leaving just as they got two women who could probably have helped a lot as 800 training partners).
Not to say she isn't running better right now, but people talking as if she ran poorly 2018/2019 when she did fine, just didn't have it on the right days or got edged by other people absolutely maxing their potential.
