Why is it in every other sport the coach has to talk to the media? There is responsibility with being a team coach, and a relay is a team. I don't blame the runners, as they all showed they have the ability to run fast on their own. I blame the coach whose job it is to bring them together, create a plan, communicate, and practice.

The olympics is different. The coaches do not receive a medal nor do they speak to the media. Its all about the athlete, or it is supposed to be even if some coaches seem to relish in the spotlight (Bela Karolyi for example)
