The bottom line is that Houlihan disgraced herself, her team, her sport, her family, and her country. That’s all she will ever be remembered for. That’s what she deserves under our system of justice.

If there is “no benefit” to a steroid taken orally, then I have some questions for the couple of medical doctors who have prescribed them for illness.

If you’re trying to maximize your benefit to build muscle and aren’t concerned about testing? Sure, you’d inject like a bodybuilder. If you’re trying to maximize your red blood cycle count and have the need or patience to dose below the testing threshold? Oral makes sense.

I suspect there was a lot of cutting and pasting or reusing of evidence from her CAS appeal. Hopefully those documents come out and we can compare them to these posts. It should be pretty clear at that point whether or not these posts are from a biased paid advocate.

It is her and her coach’s jobs as one of the highest paid distance runners and coaches in the world, training at the world’s most scientifically advanced distance training programs, to adhere to doping protocols. Knowing she is tested regularly and knowing other athletes have been red flagged due to consumption of drug tainted meat, they should have known better than to eat suspicious burritos from food trucks.

That’s The biggest red flag in this case in my opinion. Is she and her coach that stupid, after everything that’s happened in the past, to recklessly risk your entire professional athletic career by eating meat of unknown origin.

Surely they knew what happened to Ajee Wilson and her narrow escape from a tainted meat-related drug ban.

SH is not going to the Olympics because she had nandrolone in her body. Her legal team sucks and offering a burrito excuse while bringing nothing but a carne asada cc receipt to a CAS appeal is laughable. Regardless, SH had nandrolone in her body and the only possible reason she brings is so dubious it's laughable! (A burrito needing to contain 10 oz of, not available in the U.S. uncasterated pig guts & nuts instead of steak while not having any proof at all of this happening).

Any BTC athlete that chooses to openly support SH should expect to be scorned and assumed complicit in PED abuse in the sport, period.

Actually. Given the figures about the percentage of uncastrated boars in the food supply, it would be extraordinarily coincidental if Shelby ingested enough Nandrolone. Most of the food trucks in our area are at Sams and Costco first thing in the morning to get what they need for the day... They're not going out and sourcing from local farms, they would have the option.

Moreover, it would literally HAVE to be an "extraordinary coincidence" since she didn't order a pork or pork offal burrito...

The mental gymnastics necessary here to even get to the point of "she probably is innocent" is really remarkable in some ways.

For some people, oral can be pretty toxic to metabolize over time. There are benefits to taking it orally but it is allegedly more harmful than direct injection (same with a lot of other anabolic steroids.) Injection is safer and the benefits to the body are higher.

Thanks twoggle, once I got started down the path into porcine husbandry, it was hard to stop.

Below are a few things I would look for in the full CAS report when it comes out:

Right. Houlihan's lawyer says in the video that the Delta C13 value in the B sample was -23, and that the ratio of 19-NA/19-NE was 3.9, which apparently means the origin of the nandrolone is inconclusive and warrants further testing as you have outlined. At first, I didn't understand why Greene started with that slide and information, since it is quite a technical and esoteric way to begin a presentation, but now I see those values are crucial to understanding whether the sample was exogenous or not.

due to that the burden is even more on the athlete. if nike seriously couldnt come up with a better case in 5 months, then there wasnt one.

look at froome with clenbuterol or whatever. they smashed it.

Nike / btc were lazy and or incompetent in their systemic dopeing regime.

The cover up is a disgrace.

This story aint over - could be bigger than la.

The story is over; Shelby was banned and lost her appeal. There won't be any new evidence if she takes the case to a Swiss Federal Court and it's a long shot for her to get a reversal.

Shelby Houlihan is a drugs cheat and BTC are at best apologists and at worst complicit.
