I usually have Mondays as rest days but I'm thinking it would be better to swap Mondays with Saturdays.
If you rest one day would you rest before or after long run days?
I have a complete different training philosophy than the most here:
First, a lot of pros have on rest day per week. If you have no rest day, the risk of overtraining and injury is much higher.
Second, you have to see any training day, also the long run, as a long shot, so it matters what you do the days before and after the long run. It adds all up.
It try to plan the rest day in a way that i really need it and be restored the day after the rest day.
If i would be rested on my planned rest day, it would be better to train.
