Perhaps Tiernan is carrying Mead on his back in an attempt for Mead to regain some semblance of fitness? Didn't he run 67 minutes for a half marathon in Vegas not too long ago? Time waits for no man.

And Parker Stinson strikes me as potentially the worst choice to rabbit a race. It's like the scene in Goonies when they're in the attic and they hand Chunk the framed map and just wait for him to get distracted and drop it. Has Stinson ever run an evenly paced race? all I can remember is a lot of hyperactive kamikaze surges. And more importantly, is Stinson even capable of running 13:45 for 5k?

Yep exactly. But we know a lot of young runners are cheap, entitled and complain if they have to pay a measly 5 bucks to watch a race. Yall need to support runners instead and here's a great way to help.

Mantz can probably go 27:30 to 27:40. Nico paced his teammate to a 27:47 so Mantz should be faster than that. If McDonald is healthy he should be under the standard as well as Klecker

I believe Diego Estrada will do very well in this race. I noticed he got back on the track this indoor season with some solid rust busters and without a sponsor. Now I’m guessing he’ll get to wear the super spikes and drop a solid mark

Talk'in about .80 cents an hour for the 6 hours of coverage. And it's ALL distance stuff! The ESPN window is also chock full of goodness. Things are starting to heat up. 10 days before we begin a string of 14 Diamond League meets too. Now if only the Trials would allow a good 50% capacity, I'd be golden.

Women's field is also loaded. Women's 5k too.

Since Tiernan is also entered in the 1500 on Saturday, my guess is he goes abour 3K of this? Maybe 5? But it looks like a work session for him?

As a Wisconsin fan, I really hope Morgan wins this one, or at least gets the standard. I met him a year or two ago, he seems like a really cool guy and I love to see him do well.

I think Mantz is the most intriguing runner in the field.

His 13:24 5K would indicate he's nowhere near the level of most of these guys(putting him somewhere around 28:00), but he does seem to be stronger with longer races. I don't think he has the speed to go anywhere near the Olympic standard, but I think he'd be disappointed if he didn't get the trials standard. Maybe he can get Eyestones school record 27:41 set in 1985, but obviously there's a reason that's stuck for 36 years. That's moving for a college athlete.

Answering my own question: yes they are Pacific.

Klecker wins with a sprint finish in 27:22. McDonald and Emmanuel Bor pick up the Olympic standard (sub-27:28). Mantz 5th in 27:39, breaking Eyestone’s school record.

OTC website has Tiernan listed as pacing the10K.

Hearing there is no pacer for the women's race? Absolute garbage if thats true
