Why Jesuit and not Michael Johnson?
have been running at nike lately and seen Koko working out. she's looking sharp. Engels has also been doing 5k training with suguru who I have seen absolutely flying on the track. would be interesting if they all got in on the race

Doing Nike would allow what might turn into a larger gathering with Covid lingering.

Are there races to be raced currently?
Doesn't matter when there are races they don't run. Will we see any of the group run any if the DL meets when they start back up? I think we all know that is a bug fat no. This 1 TT will put them at their Jerry race limit for 2020
Um, the Diamond League isn’t going to ‘start back up,’ for your information.

Should be fast...
K-Schweiz in 14.41. You heard it here first!
Fake Race
I hope this race and the Norwegian race are not at the same time.

You could not get a better pacer for BTC than Koko, because she is a front-runner and has run in the 14:20s but not in the 14:10s (meaning, too fast), and Salazar's not controlling the group any more (right??), so why not let them race each other. I'd think that the three who ran sub 8:30 indoors would be ready to go low to mid 14:30s now, and maybe Shelby Houlihan could break into the 14:20s. For the men, I'd like to see Jager break 13, but it seems doubtful that they'll have their top guy just pacing them again, so they might not get there.
Do you understand how fast these times are that you categorize as doable in their first race from a training block and post from your recliner?
If BTC is going to race, that is fantastic news. Yes for track and field fans but most importantly the athletes.
The Jesuit track has an aluminum rail and meets USATF and World Athletics criteria. If a national record is set, it counts. Nike borrowed the rail from Hayward to make the Michael Johnson Track record compliant for last year's event. That has since been returned to Eugene.
It is very fast for a rust buster. But the BTC women did basically the same with the 3k indoors at BU, so it is not impossible. It seems unlikely that they'd get KoKo as unofficial pacer but with such an ideal setup they could run very fast.

The BU meet was at the end of the indoor season. All BTC athletes had races under their belt. The exception was Grant Fisher - BU was his first race.
If there is a race or if there are races, give these athletes their space and don’t hinder their ability to race by going to a venue that could cause that venue to be closed down. Think people. It’s not about you, it’s about the athletes having a chance to get rolling again.

Look at where Norway and Portland are on a map and I think you will be relieved.
There may not be a race on 6/30 but looks like BTC will be doing at least a couple of time trial races in July, per Quigley's IG:

Pretty funny.
Wouldn't placing small cones on the inside of lane 1 on Nike's track make it record eligible?
Since CQ stated races (plural), they may start out with 1500m/miles and/or 3k races as rust busters, saving the 5k for the end of July as their goal race.

Having a curb is a requirement for all USATF marks including records and trials qualifying times. Also, the rail is in storage at Nike. It’s not in Eugene. They just built a new track.

Do we have any legit post saying they’re running today or did we all get trolled?
I should have known BTC wasn’t going to race.
I was excited for this.
