It's like this family has some sort of beautiful woman machine, each daughter is more astonishing than the last. My advice to these two parents is to continue procreating.
On a side note it appears Genzebe will not pursue the 1500 next year. Kind of a disappointment, I always felt that was her best event. She seems to be leaving it behind before realizing her full potential. I felt she was the best shot at breaking that phony Chinese record.

I think Genzebe will still take a shot at the 1500m outdoor record. She's only going for the 5000m indoor, to bring the record back home (poor Defar) , not Tirunesh's 5000m outdoor record.
She says she's also going for the 5K at WC. I was hoping for a Dibaba/Aregawi/Simpson/Hassan showdown in China. They had only that one race last year and it was an epic.
For Genzebe to break the 1500 outdoor she would need to run it more frequently. She ran only one last year after breaking the indoor WR. I don't know who is advising her, or if she is making this decision on her own, but she should focus on the 1500, that is the marquee event along with the 100 and that is what would make her a huge superstar.
She has the beauty and the charisma and is even learning a little English, to be a endorsement juggernaut. Not saying she won't be big running the 5K, but 1500 is definitely the higher profile event. Especially with such fierce rivals in that event now.

They could probably win NCAA, with those 5 sisters, Tirunesh, Ejigayehu, and Genzebe would go 1,2, 3, (the order does not matter) and if the other 2 have a little training, they could go 1-5
hypothetical as Professionals can't compete at NCAA's, still 5 sisters who could win the NCAA XC team title is impressive.
The article says the 16 year old sisters name is Melat, But I heard the youngest sisters name is Meseret. Who knows maybe there are 6 sisters. lol
They could also hold a Miss World pageant and wouldn't have to leave the house.
Eje is retired, she lives with her husband and they have children. Anna and Milat are both teenagers and I think they have chosen to focus on school. Anna is the only one fluent in English despite being only 18.
I don't know if she will be as elite as her sisters, it will be very hard for her, she has never competed at youth level. Really it's a longshot without the progression. She's probably better off doing a media career.
She is so beautiful the press conference was swooning over her and she was just Genzebe's translator. I never thought I'd see a woman more beautiful than Genze and then her sister shows up.
Parents have some great genes.

The article said Genzebe and Anna are currently living in Tirunesh and Sileshi's house.
Ejigayehu is married and has a child. Presumably she and her husband are living in their own house.
I think there are 2 older sisters, Ejigayehu is the third child in the Dibaba family, then followed by Tirunesh, Genzebe, Dejene, Anna and Melat. The two youngest are certainly news. Previous reports have always said 6 siblings, not 8.

Based on what? She hasn't even run. She doesn't even have a time to her credit.

Genetics.
Besides genetics, she has access to some of the most successful distance runners in history, who have or have connections to some of the worlds most knowledgeable people in distance running, who know how to develop runners and train runners to maximize a runners potential.
Just think who is not only in her family, but who are the families friends Many successful runners AND coaches.

Genetics will only get you to the starting line in elite distance running. There is no way of knowing if she is any good until she runs. The odds are long based on her never having run a race and she is already 18. Even from a family like that. The son is only a year older than Genze and he is not a runner of note and he has been running and training as long as Genzebe has.
