In a tri b/t AquaMan and the Flash, who wins? Does it come down to the bike?

The flash would win by a mile. He is still faster than aquaman even in the water. A more appropriate matchup would be superman and the flash
Aquaman, Flash and Lance Armstrong.
Now that would be a tri to end all tris.
I'm pretty sure I could bike faster than lance!
Flash would win. It's not like he could only move fast on land. He did EVERYTHING fast. that's why he's The Flash. He can swim, run, bike, everything. Even when at work, remember he would always type really fast when no one was looking?
The Flash could run fast enough to not break the surface tension of the water, and will thus complete the 'swim' faster than Aquaman who has to contend with hydrodynamic drag (which will harm his performance more than the aerodynamic drag affecting the Flash). Of course, Superman would own both of them because he would fly for the swim and the run, then use his super strength to punish the final sprint on the bike (the only thing that could stop him is if he breaks the bike).
Dude, he wouldn't be able to fly for the run and the bike. Get real.

Agree, that would be a DQ.
You guys are both morons. he could just fly under water for the swim part, he could run if he wanted to or maybe he would fly. then he could just carry the bike as he flew the final leg. Superman wins by a mile. You cant forget that this is the same guy who flew around the earth to reverse time.

I figured Superman could fly for the swim and run, but not the bike. If he flew over the surface of the water touching it occasionally with a swimming motion and flew over the surface of the ground touching it with his feet in a running motion how could he be disqualified? I definitely didn't write he could fly for the bike, though he might use his flying ability to make it as if he didn't weigh anything (which would make him go a lot faster).

If Superman pulled that crap that would make him no better than a cheating racewalker that fails to keep one foot on the ground. I would DQ his high flying ass in a second.
Damn straight. There is just no beating Superman in any athletic event. Batman (though sans superpowers) might not be far back in a road mile: he and Robin ran sub-2:00 on the old TV series, with Batman leading to the end . . .

Batman has no superpowers. There is no way that BOTH Batman and Robin can run a sub 2:00 mile, even on a downhill course.
Neither would finish in the top half of the milers at the 5th Ave. Mile. And that is a fact.

Are you insane? This is ridiculous.
Actually Batman and Robin both had run faster than the world record mile down a mine shaft to rescue someone. On the way back out as the mine was collapsing they had to run even faster going back up to make it out alive.
True story
"Holy Banny Banniter Batman we have to run a world record mile to escape alive."
I want to set the record straight on the questions of a race between Superman and the Flash.
As a fact, they HAVE raced before. I forget which issue it was, or when it came out, but I own a copy and it's one of my prized possessions.
The race is sponsored by an alien (some weird name, like MXYLMQ or something), and they race around the world on the same route. A couple points:
-Flash runs fast enough to stay on top of the water. Superman flies through the water.
-There is a battle with the alien midway through, so the effort from that would tire out the weaker fighter (the Flash, probably).
-There is a really good description of flat out racing at the finish, where Superman is s***ting his pants because the Flash is still with him.
-AND YES, THE FLASH WINS.
That ought to help.

I call BullS***.
The laws of physics do not allow the Flash to run ON the water. To do so he would in reality be flying and he cannot do that. I maintain he would have to SWIM at that phase of the race.
For the love of all that is holy, let's keep this thread reasonable and within the laws of physics.
Flash wins and not by a mile. Flash and Superman both have the ability to travel (ie rather flying, swimming, or running at speed of ligh) 186,000 miles per second. The comic the previous poster mentioned was from the DC comic that appeared on Legion of Superheroes cartoon. The completed the race and forced him to say his (almost unlimited magic) name backwards and dispelled him.
Better question who would have won: in her prime Flo-Jo vs Michael Vick in the 100m?
Good point Neails Bohr. Not.
If you're saying that Flash shouldn't have been allowed to run on the water, that's fine.
If you're saying that he was flying when he did so, then I'd ask, at what point did he leave the surface (apart from when he was floating mid-stride)?
And if you're saying that Flash couldn't have run on the water, then you're mistaken. As somebody already said, he runs so fast that his feet don't break the water tension.(And your reasoning there is f***ed -- you say that he "cannot [fly]", and from that, you conclude that he cannot run on water, because that would "flying".)
AND your understanding of real world physics wouldn't matter for the purposes of superhero debate, because we've tacitly granted the writers the license to determine superhero physics, superpowers, etc. (And the writers wrote that he ran on the water.)
I'm sorry if the superfacts scare you.
Flash is quick but has no stamina you fools, he would not win.
superman cant swim, dont you clowns know your comics..?
