2026 Golden Gala Pietro Mennea -- Rome Diamond League

Noah Lyles (9.88, +0.5) took down Jordan Anthony (9.96) and everyone else to win his DL opener in the 100, while Julien Alfred (21.93, +1.3) beat world champion Melissa Jefferson-Wooden (22.17) in the 200.

The pair, training partners at Pure Athletics in Florida, will race on Thursday as World Indoor champ Anthony makes his Diamond League debut.

The sprints are totally loaded as Melissa Jefferson-Wooden faces Julien Alfred at 200m in her 2026 opener while Noah Lyles, Jordan Anthony, Letsile Tebogo, and Marcell Jacobs headline a star-studded 100m. But the mid-d and distances also include  Nadia Battocletti, Georgia Hunter-Bell, Nikki Hiltz, Abbey Caldwell and Donavan Brazier.
