Today's 2011 Boston Marathon was one for the ages. In case you missed it we have video highlights of the men's and women's race below from Universal Sports.
First up was the women's race. American Desiree Davila came in second, but she definitely stole the show. Desiree dropped off the lead pack a few times during the race, but she battled back and then put on a stretch battle with Caroline Kilel that was one for the ages. There were four lead changes in the final straightaway with Kilel coming out on top.

Men's Highlights
Until last year, no one had run under 2:07 on the Boston course. On Monday American Ryan Hall ran 2:04:57, the fastest time ever by an American on any course, and he was barely within 2 minutes of the winner. How could that be? Geoffrey Mutai took advantage of the 20 mph tailwinds to run 2:03:02, beating the previous fastest marathon ever by 57 seconds. Right behind Mutai was compatriot Moses Mosop in his marathon debut running 2:03:06. David Monti of Race Results Weekly called the race and its conditions a "magic carpet ride."
