The 2018 Diamond League got underway Friday in Doha, Qatar and it saw a slew of great races and world leaders, 8 in all.
In the first DL race of the day, Steven Gardiner ran a 43.87 world leading national record and then the action kept going. Samba Abderrahman went 47.57 in the hurdles, 20 year old Noah Lyles 19.83 in the 200 for a big win and PB, Pedro Pablo Pichardo had to go 17.95 to defeat Christian Taylor in the triple jump, Thomas Rohler had to go 91.78 to win the javelin as three were over 90m, Marie Josee Ta Lou went 10.85 to win the 100, Caster Semenya got her first sub 4 in a world leading win, Sandra Perkovic set a DL record in the discus, Caroline Kipkirui got a world leader in the 3000.
