Mokoka won a race over a trio of Kenyans who finished between 2:09:02 and 2:09:21 behind him. Namibia’s Helalia Johannes won the women's race in 2:29:28.

Obituary For South African Masters Legend Anne McKenzie Who Has Died At 88

McKenzie was a pioneer for women's running in SA, setting multiple national records and later on, world age group records. Her 2:06.5 Masters record from 1967 is still 7th on the all time 40-44 age group list.

Jenny Simpson was way back in 9th in 2:05.08, but still beat Caster Semenya in 11th (2:06.84). Other US distance action included Gabe Grunewald 3rd in the 3000 (8:52) and some less than stellar men's 1500s as Lopez Lomong was 11th in 3:43 as Kenyan Collins Cheboi won in 3:36.
