He won the Phoenix 5K in 13:51 to break the 14:06 record set by Diego Estrada on the same course in 2013.

She's tied on the list with Shalane Flanagan. Taylor: "I feel like I've been good at a lot of different distances for a long time. I want to be great though and I'm hoping the marathon is what I can be great at."

She ran 2:27:17 in her debut at Chicago 2012. Here she is the favorite over a couple of 2:33 international runners. The men's field has a slew of sub-2:13 runners including NAU alum Jordan Chipangama (2:12:22).

Samson Gebreyohannes Gezaha won the overall race in 1:14:08 as US 10-Mile champ Landry ran 1:14:18 to tie Mo Trafeh's AR and take 2nd overall. Shadrack Biwott was 3rd overall (2nd American) in 1:14:31. Chris Solinsky was 3rd American and 5th overall (1:16:44).  Northern Arizona Elite's Johnson won in 1:25:26 over Dot McMahan and Mattie Suver.

The announcement comes the day after CGI announced it was reinstating its elite athlete program. Bruce said he plans on focusing on the marathon looking ahead to 2016.

This is a separate group from the earlier announced Team Run Flagstaff and includes team members Ben and Stephanie (Rothstein) Bruce, 2:13 marathoner Jordan Chipangama and World Championship half marathoner Maegan Krifchin.
