2015 Men's XC Preview: #10 Virginia, #9 Ole Miss, #8 Iona, #7 Oklahoma State

Both OSU and Virginia underperformed at NCAAs last year but both will be back with a vengeance in 2015. The Cowboys could be dangerous with Craig Nowak (16th last year) and NCAA 1500 champ Chad Noelle, while the Cavaliers are one of the deeper teams in America.  The Rebels made a big step forward in making their first NCAA appearance, but they'll be even better in 2015 with transfers MJ Erb and Ryan Manahan. Iona boasts another strong squad and will look for its 13th top-10 finish in the past 14 years.

Weekend XC Preview: Notre Dame Invitational, Washington Invitational Headline Action

Notre Dame has an extremely deep men's field (10 of the top 25, led by #10 BYU), but the best race of the weekend is Saturday in Seattle, where half of the men's top 10 (#2 NAU, #5 Portland, #6 Stanford, #7 Indiana, #9 Villanova) will square off. The women's races aren't as strong, but #3 Oregon vs. #4 Stanford at Washington should be compelling, with a potential debut from Stanford's Aisling Cuffe. In other action, the #6 FSU women trek up to Paul Short to face #5 Georgetown while the #1 Colorado men race at the Rocky Mountain Shootout.
*Aisling Cuffe Out For Most (Or All) XC Season With A Stress Fracture According to this blog post by one of the Stanford men.

RRW: Britain's Kate Avery Reflects on Lost World Championships Opportunity

Avery was contacted by UKA saying they wanted her on the team for World Indoors as she's the fastest Brit this season in the 3000 with an 8:56. However, then after she waited for what was supposed to be a simple confirmation, they came back and told her she could't be selected because she didn't send an email saying she wasn't racing the UK Trials. *Video Interview
