In the women's half, Molly Huddle and Jordan Hasay take on US soil record holder Mary Wacera (66:29) and Edith Chelimo (65:52). Alex Korio Oloitiptit (58:51) leads a men's half field with Olympic silver medalist Feyisa Lelisa, Callum Hawkins, Stephen Sambu, Diego Estrada, Sam Chelanga, Luke Puskedra, and Bernard Lagat. In the men's marathon, defending champ Dominic Ondoro takes on Bazu Worku (2:05:25) while last year's women's half winner Veronicah Nyaruai Wanjiru makes her marathon debut against Mamitu Daska (2:21:59).

Bekele, now working with coach and LRC message board poster Renato Canova, is targeting the course record of 2:04:23 and says he feels more prepared for his third career marathon. Desisa, who just lost out to Wilson Kipsang in New York last year, leads a group of 20 other men who have broken 2:10, including Berhanu Shiferaw (2:04:48) and Feyisa Lilesa (2:04:52).

Meb Keflezighi leads a men's half field that includes Aaron Braun, Luke Puskedra, Shadrack Biwott and Josphat Boit. The women are led by Adriana Nelson, Serena Burla, Sara Hall, Mattie Suver and Lisa Uhl. Defending champion Bazu Worku (2:05:25) leads the men's marathon field while Afework Bekele (2:23:59) leads the women.
