Abshero won in 1:02:52 beating Kenya's Gideon Kipketer by 4 seconds. Leonard Korir  was 4th (1:03:45). Schone won for the women in 1:11:55 as the Netherlands' Adriënne Herzog took 3rd (1:12:58) and former Boston champ Caroline Kilel 4th (1:13:06).
