This shoe is well padded and extremely comfortable. It's also heavy and slow, but that's OK for easy days. I developed a hamstring injury while wearing this shoe. While I can't say for sure that the shoe was the cause, I rarely become injured
I love this shoe for getting in the base miles. It is a tank on the roads and does a great job cushioning on hard surfaces. I am on the heavier side and it still lasts quite a while I am currently at 362 miles. As it has progressed through its life I have found that when there is slightly less cushion it works great for uptempo or tempo shoe. While this shoe works great on the roads the outsole isn't the best on trails. It is fine, especially when dry but the grip isn't as good as the peg 34.
Bought it for long runs because of the lightweight cushioning. From my experience the cushioning is too much and the shoe is not as responsive as I would like. It is not a shoe I would like to run in on a hot day either because the ventilation is poor, my feet get pretty hot inside. Overall a decent shoe but could do better if looking for a shoe for the longer training runs.
Looks arnt that great but the cushion is amazing and has supported me on many long 10 plus mile runs
These shoes represent a pretty big difference from past Vomeros. The heel is much looser and the upper is less substantial than past versions. Overall the shoe fits looser width wise and I preferred the past versions more.
I felt as if I was being held down the entire time while running. Yes, the cushioning was pleasant, but it was just too heavy for my likings. The tread also wore off after 200 miles, which Nike's marketing pitch said "300-500" miles. I thought it was very, very disappointing. It seemed to only be fresh for 100 miles at the most.
As a longtime runner in the Pegasus line, I opted to try the Zoom Vomero as I'm training for a marathon and wanted a bit more comfort and cushion for recovery runs.
What I have found is that I opt for the Vomero more times than not. I absolutely love the comfort and plushness of the ride but do find that this model (12) seems to run a bit snug and therefore, I wear thinner socks. It's a trade-off though, as I think the snugness also is what makes it so plush, so I can't complain too much.
I do feel they run TTS and another pro of this shoe is the outsole, which has held up incredibly well for the 100+ miles I've put in them so far.
Very good. Very comfortable and good for logging mileage. Only negative is that they take time to become broken in. First few runs are very stiff.
Great cushioning! Anyway they wiped the heel up to the hole in the heel relatively quick.
lacing superb and great sole for all surfaces except ice.
currently on my 9th pair of vomeros and still very satisfied. The durability is just what I need (about 500 miles, i could get 6-700 if i wanted though).
