A ran in V1 for hundreds of miles. Love them and didn’t the investment to go to the Elite was worth it. As a heavier runner, I liked the comfy ride of V1. V2 has pros and cons. V2 has a faster race day feel, and I do feel like I am faster in V2. It is a bit lighter and has less bounce, but also less cushioning. Trade offs for sure. Since I am not an elite runner, I miss the bouncier feel of V1. I ran NYC Marathon in these and they were rock solid all the way. In the end, it will come down to preference. V2 will absolutely get you there and it has snap.
I've been running in this shoe for 4 months. I run 50-90k/week and the shoes have held up well, I've bought another pair to replace them when these are done. I haven't run in the competitions super cushioned shoes. But, my legs have never felt better after running 15-20k runs.
Rock solid training shoe. Stable and with good cushioning for longer runs. Good for wider feet and heavier runners. Sole wears down pretty quick, so for the price it is a bit expensive. While not big on being fashionable - I really liked the colors.
For the last few years I have been a big 1080 fan, and will still probably use them for the longer distances- but I liked these so much I bought 2 pairs.
The cushioning makes it a great option as a trainer, but the extremely responsive foam and plate gives you that extra pop when working down the pace. The combination. of support and speed makes it the a top tier option for fast long runs and other longer work at quicker paces.
These shoes feel great at any distance or pace!
The cushion is really good also was good for easy and tempos. really bad for trails tho and I twisted my ankle really bad other than that really good but way too expensive on get on sale
Only about two weeks of running in them but very comfortable and light. I run with orthotics in them and there’s plenty of space. Too soon to tell on the durability but I definitely like the road fee.
Very fast and bouncy shoe, a little expensive, but great for tempo, progression, and long runs. One of those shoes it's hard not to run in.
Great cushioning, fit and comfort. Shoe is expensive but you are getting a quality trainer. Only drawback to the shoe is the deep ridge in the sole that picks often picks up good sized stones and pieces of bark. Best if this bothers you to stay on pavement free of most debris.
I'm on my second pair and still satisfied with the performance and durability. At first the top of the shoe is a bit tight, after 1 run it loosens up and feels comfortable. It's a very lightweight shoe so cushion is not the main priority, and you may feel that the next day depending on your workout. However it performs exceptionally and is comparable to the other carbon plate shoes on the market for half the price.
