On my 5th or 6th pair of brooks ghosts and still a huge supporter. This shoe is your classic daily trainer and can be used for just about everything. I’ve everything from recovery runs to workouts to strides in this shoe. It’s not a fast shoe and the ride is pretty standard but it’s reliable. I’m normally able to get about 600 miles out of them before I switch them out.
Comfortable right out of the box, great cushioning but no too soft. Decent value for the money.
If you're not sure where to start when looking for a shoe then try the Brooks Ghost. I believe it's the golden standard of running shoes. It can run fast, slow, long, dirt, track, or road. It's versatile. Don't buy this shoe if you want a small heel drop, run a lot of trails, or want a minimalist shoe.
I liked running in these shoes. I'm bigger than average (6'4" , 200) and these shoes held up well. Great value for the money.
Have run in four pairs of Brooks Ghost. Very good cushioning for a late-50s guy, 155 lbs/6' -0" with around 115,000 lifetime miles. My previous version Ghost has over 1,000 miles on it, and I still wear it for muddy runs. Enough cushion, but not too much. Responsive enough for faster days. I recommend them to many of the high school runners that I coach.
Lots of cushion. works well all around easy-strides. Not amazing for long tempo/speed work.
when else is ther to say? Great nutral road running shoe. i shit my knickers. no worries , bedcause there is a spot in the back of the shoes where you can fit a few wet wipes to carry on your runs. have raced 57km ultra and up to 100km ultra in these shoes. have raced local mountain races too. ripped the outside of the shoe after 1300+km (800+ miles). treat the shoe with respect and you will be larfing all the way to the bank. also go with half a size up for US size, my feet measure 10.5 US so I wear 11 US. have worn through tree pairs of Ghost 13s and just got my third pair of 14s.
Thank you.
I have been running in brooks ghosts since the ghost 10, shoes hold up well, can take a lot of miles and work equally well on both pavement and trail, a good solid trainer
Comfy, smooth ride. Been wearing Ghosts since their inception. Can always trust fit right out of box, no break in required. Neutral cushion, arches. Just a classic, best running shoe. However, I do find them breaking down sooner now vs 5 years ago. Too bad, as not only expensive but wasteful from environmental aspect.
