This is how running shoes are meant to be. Solid. Reliable. No gimmicky cushioning that you sink into and end up with irritated achilles. No jazzy breathable stretchy uppers that actually just let your foot move around in the shoe and don't last. It's not an exciting shoe, but it feels exactly the same at the start of the run as it does 18 miles later. I can pick up the pace without fighting a squidgy foam. It's a good honest shoe and it lasts so well. Excellent value for money.

On my 5th or 6th pair of brooks ghosts and still a huge supporter. This shoe is your classic daily trainer and can be used for just about everything. I’ve everything from recovery runs to workouts to strides in this shoe. It’s not a fast shoe and the ride is pretty standard but it’s reliable. I’m normally able to get about 600 miles out of them before I switch them out.

Comfortable right out of the box, great cushioning but no too soft. Decent value for the money.

I am mainly a road runner and these shoes have been very reliable in dry and wet conditions. Not the lightest, but feel great.

Cannot think of a reason to buy this shoe. When wet it is like a brick, soles wear away instantly, extremely tight upper, laces suck, its just not good.

If you're not sure where to start when looking for a shoe then try the Brooks Ghost. I believe it's the golden standard of running shoes. It can run fast, slow, long, dirt, track, or road. It's versatile. Don't buy this shoe if you want a small heel drop, run a lot of trails, or want a minimalist shoe.

I liked running in these shoes.  I'm bigger than average (6'4" , 200) and these shoes held up well. Great value for the money.

Have run in four pairs of Brooks Ghost. Very good cushioning for a late-50s guy, 155 lbs/6' -0" with around 115,000 lifetime miles. My previous version Ghost has over 1,000 miles on it, and I still wear it for muddy runs. Enough cushion, but not too much. Responsive enough for faster days. I recommend them to many of the high school runners that I coach.

Lots of cushion. works well all around easy-strides. Not amazing for long tempo/speed work.
