LetsRun.com Shoe Database – Progress Report and Change Log

The LetsRun.com Shoe Database is a work in progress.  If you have ideas for how it can be improved, fill out this form or email Wejo directly at wejo@letsrun.com.

November 2015– Push #2 for shoe reviews. We need more shoe reviews as we move forward with an even better shoe site. Since our last call for shoe reviews, a whole different set of shoes have come out. Please submit your reviews here of your latest shoes.

Progress: June 19– Our home page beta public launch!!!! We are glad to put out what we have. We want your comments. Email us at wejo@letsrun.com. For now we only have descriptions on 200+ shoes even though we have reviews on 453 different shoe models. Going forward we want to have descriptions and data on all our our shoes even though our focus is on telling you what various runners think of the shoes.

June 11 – Message board launch

Roadmap: We like what we have so far.

Strengths:  Our microsite is good at showing you cumulative statistics and shoe reviews for runners like you. User generated reviews tied to runner type are very helpful.
Weakness: When a new shoe comes out, we need a bunch of people to review it before we have meaningful data. There is a reason many pros run in the old version of shoes. So at the very least we want to have data on what changed in a shoe when it comes out and you can see what other shoes are like it.

Features Requests:

Currently, we are working on adding these features:

  1. We want to have descriptions of all of the shoes in the database. Right now we have them for 200+
  2. Find a similar shoe. If you like the Nike Pegasus 31+, you should quickly be able to see what shoes have similar characteristics to it.
  3. A quick link to older/newer version of the same shoe.
  4. Add multiple images, to our shoe overview pages. While we think the most important thing is to shoe you what various types of runners think about the shoe you are interested in, we do want to have better information and photos of the shoes you review.
  5. This whole thing is driven by you.  We want to be proactive in adding features you want. Email us – wejo@letsrun.com.
