How Can We Clean Up The Sport? – LetsRun.com Anti-Doping Proposal Challenge #1

The recent influx of doping busts out of Kenya prompted a great idea from LetsRun.com poster Chen Huang. Why don’t LetsRun.com users submit their best anti-doping ideas and users vote on them and we submit the best ones to the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA),and/or the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

The premise is to get beyond exasperation or hopelessness with the current state of doping in the sport, and come up with possible ways to make it cleaner.

Article continues below player.

So if you have a good anti-doping idea for the sport of running or track and field, or want to just read some good ideas we’ve got you covered in this thread:

LetsRun anti-doping challenge #1 – What can the sport do to clean itself up?*

Post your ideas there and start voting.

Chen said to us, “If any of the ideas ever get adopted by a major race or WA, the guys who “come up with” the ideas are allowed to shamelessly claim their credits and are rewarded with a letsrun shirt for bragging rights or you could put them into letsrun’s Hall of Fame or something.”

So we’re giving Chen a free super-soft LetsRun shirt and have more LRC swag to give away to great ideas.

*And while no doubt a lot of positive drug tests generate a lot of negative headlines, it could mean that the drug testing in running is a lot better than the testing in other sports and we are catching more of the cheats.
