Jenna Hutchins, the junior at Science Hill High Schoool in Johnson City, Tennessee, ran 15:34.47 today at the Five and Dime Athletics Meeting in Columbia, South Carolina to break Katelyn Tuohy’s previous girls’ national high school record of 15:37.12.

Johnson took the lead after the first 1600 was covered in 4:56 and got the win over multiple time NCAA DIII Champ Annie Rodenfels.
