At the second and final stop of the 2016 American Track League in Houston Sandi Morris stole the show by vaulting 4.93 (16′ 2″) to break Jenn Suhr’s American record in the pole vault of 4.92.

Morris then took three attempts at 5.07 to try and break Yelena Isinbayeva’s world record of 5.06.

Even with Isinbayeva banned from Rio as part of the Russian team the women’s pole vault should be a great competition with Suhr, Morris, and Brazil hero Fabiana Murer.

QT: This wasn’t the biggest vault of Morris’ life. She vaulted 4.95 indoors where the American record is Jenn Suhr’s world record of 5.03.
