New Orleans, LA – Statement from event organizer Tracy Sundlun, SVP of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series:
“Due to illness, Deena Kastor informed us this morning that she will not be able to travel to New Orleans this weekend. This is obviously upsetting to us on both a personal and professional level, as we wish that everyone in New Orleans would have had the opportunity to run with or watch one of the all-time greats. We hope that she gets well soon and look forward to seeing her at another Rock ‘n’ Roll event in 2014.”
