2014 TCS New York City Marathon Runner And Volunteer Applications Launches On New Marathon Website
Application features Cyber Monday discount for 44th running of New York Road Runners’ premier event

NEW YORK—The runner and volunteer applications for the 2014 TCS New York City Marathon launched today on the new TCS New York City Marathon website, tcsnycmarathon.org. The application features a Cyber Monday processing fee of $5, less than half the normal processing fee of $11. The discounted processing fee is available through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, December 2.
The runner application window will remain open through March 18 for the more than 100,000 runners expected to apply. The application window for the approximately 12,000 volunteers who will support the race will remain open through July 31. The 2014 TCS New York City Marathon will take place on Sunday, November 2, with its new title sponsor, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).

The new TCS New York City Marathon website features a new look and improved user experience and features information that will help runners plan their race day, including tailored coaching plans through the official TCS New York City Marathon online training program and information about how to participate as part of a charity team, such as NYRR’s Team for Kids.
In addition to the launch of the new website, NYRR is releasing new social media accounts and hashtags for runners, volunteers, and fans looking to share their excitement and stories for the 2014 TCS New York City Marathon. Runners and fans are encouraged to tag Instagram and Twitter posts with #tcsnycmarathon and to visit the Twitter and Instagram handles, @nycmarathon, and Facebook page—TCS New York City Marathon – which has been updated with information on the 2014 race.
