Olympic silver medallist Brigetta Barrett has made a name for herself with her jumping on the track and her singing off of it. In Monaco, this year, she won the high jump then did a one song concert afterwards before the packed house.
Barrett, one of the new stars of the sport, almost didn’t make the high jump final on Thursday.
At her opening height of 1.83, Barrett missed twice. With the pressure on her, she cleared it on the third attempt and then had no misses at the next two heights to make the final.
Afterwards, Barrett said the surface her is fast and she was pumped up, so she was getting too close to the bar. She backed up on the third attempt to start her attempt and had no problems. Interview with Barrett below.
Brigetta Barrett and Reese Hoffa Entertain: “I thought you were going to slap my butt. I was like ‘girl I didn’t think we knew each other like that.'”
As Barrett was talking to the media, Reese Hoffa came up and it got real interesting real quick.
We’ll just say it started with Reese saying to Brigetta, “I thought you were going to slap my butt. I was like ‘girl I didn’t think we knew each other like that.'” Worth a watch if you want a chuckle.
