WADA Seeks Expressions of Interest for 2013 World Conference Hosting

Press Release

Montreal, March 26, 2010 – The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is calling on interested cities to bid for the hosting of the 4th World Conference on Doping in Sport, which WADA plans to organize in late 2013.

This conference will be the culmination of the next review of the World Anti-Doping Code that WADA will launch in 2012. The review will be based on the model of the Code review process conducted in 2006-2007, leading to the 3rd World Conference on Doping in Sport held in Madrid, Spain, in November 2007.

WADA encourages all stakeholders to explore potential bids within their respective regions.

The deadline for proposals is August 27, 2010. The host city will be selected by WADA’s Foundation Board at its November 21, 2010 meeting.
