New York, NY January 8, 2013 -  The 106th Millrose Games on February 16 will be the second stop of USA Track & Field's nationally televised 2013 Indoor USATF Championship series, Millrose Games' Executive Director Dr. Norbert Sander and USA Track & Field announced on Tuesday. The meet will be delivered live on ESPN3 on February 16 and 8-10 p.m. February 17 on ESPN. Time of the live ESPN3 coverage will be announced in coming weeks.

"Having both live video and later a network telecast will be a great opportunity for track & field fans to experience the Millrose Games," Sander said. "We are particularly pleased to be able to collaborate with USATF as part of their Indoor Series."

"By partnering with the Armory Foundation we will combine our efforts and resources to deliver one of the most compelling Millrose Games in recent memory," USATF spokesperson Jill Geer said.

The USATF Championship Series also includes the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston February 2 and the USATF Indoor Track & Field Championships in Albuquerque March 1-2.

The Millrose Games is the world's most famous indoor track & field meet with high profile high school, collegiate and elite athletes for the second consecutive season at the Armory. Among the 106th Millrose Games' commitments include: London Olympic gold medalists Jenn Suhr and Brittney Reese who will showcase their extraordinary talents in the pole vault and long jump, respectively; Eight-time Wanamaker Mile champion and holder of seven American records Bernard Lagat will go after the American two-mile mark. Also in the two-mile will be Collegiate 5000 meters record holder and former NCAA Cross Country champion Lawi Lalang, two-time 2012 NCAA champion and Olympic Finalist Cam Levins; and Olympians Duane Solomon and Nick Symmonds will attempt to surpass a 26-year old American record in the 600 meters.

Last February, a sold-out Armory hosted the 105th Millrose Games as Bernard Lagat broke the American record in the 5000 meters - college and high school records also were set in the 5000 meters - Jenny Simpson won the first New York Road Runners' Wanamaker Metric Mile for Women, and young American standout miler Matthew Centrowitz captured his first NYRR Wanamaker Mile.

"I'm delighted that the 2013 Millrose Games will be part of the USATF Championship Series," said Millrose Games Meet Director Ray Flynn. "We look forward to staging a terrific meet at the Armory to showcase many of the world's greatest athletes and recent Olympians."
