Grip is very good, comfort in the upper is fantastic, great cushioning.
Despite its paperweight, it is a very durable shoe, more than sufficiently cushioned for anything on the trails. Weight distribution, its shape, flexibility - everything is geared towards running fast and effortlessly. It is not a minimal shoe, just right in every category, extremely light and very durable. Does not slip at all on wet surfaces (rocks, roots, mud). Runs a bit long in normal sizes, but I haven´t noticed any slipping inside the shoe. Quite wide in the finger area, but could be easily locked in the mid foot. Again, haven´t noticed any slippage during runs, even at very fast pace, dashing downhill. Protection against sharp rocks is - again - just right. The price is very high, but after long deliberation before purchase, I would state that it was the best buy in my life. I have owned more than 300 pairs of running shoes in my life and ran well over 100k miles...
