I’ve been running in Nike Air Pegasus since I began running in high school. I have two pair of 36’s that I alternate and a pair of college team 36’s that I wear as everyday shoes. I have had no issues with them, and I really like the top of the shoe that is a lot lighter than previous air pegasus. The top of shoe/tongue is typical Nike racing flat style which feels very light and nice on a trainer. The 36 continues the pointed heel that the 35 had, originally this took some getting used to from the 34s as it felt like my heel would slip out of it, but once I got used to the feeling on my heel, I haven’t noticed it again and haven’t had any problems. Overall, another great Pegasus shoe for me so far
I had my pair for quite a while and they were pretty nice for tempo work and I even busted out some fast intervals on the track in them. I found them very uncomfortable after about an hour of running and wouldn't use them for long runs. The heel on mine started to fall apart before the foam or the rubber did and I'm not sure if that's because of how my foot specifically fit in the shoe or if it was a build quality issue. Nonetheless it still lasted about 450 miles before becoming dangerous (injury causing) to wear. The energy return on these shoes was pretty weak too but at a relatively low weight I would probably buy again especially because I've seen them really cheap (<$45) at stores like kohls.
I am really happy with the Nike Zoom cushioning. It feels great on runs from 1k to HM distance. But the very high “tail” of the shoe made me feel uncomfortable at the beginning. I had some shoved off skin at the back of my feet when running on the treadmill. But when running outdoors it was really not a problem at all.
I havent run since high school, before 2000, and just started again about a year ago. I didnt want to get intoan expensive pair of shoes until i decided if i wanted to continue running after an initial 5k so i bought the Nike Swift SE from Academy's. I suffered from Achilles issues, constant shin splints, and some plantar, so i purchased a superfeet blue insole... still got injured.
Finally i had enough and decided to buy another pair of shoes and these Pegs 36 give me ample arch support to not need insoles and the only issue i had was an achilles issue for a couple of days after about 85 miles in the shoe.
I love them
Excellent to use in running especially long distance.
Excellent to use in any running distances especially in a marathon race.
The Nike Pegasus 36 is the best all around shoe I have ever trained in. Its versatility allows for work at 400 pace and up to as far as you want to run. It handles speed and endurance all very well. I will not switch from these shoes ever.
I was very happy with this shoe for many months. Quality shoes for 5k xc training. However, my feet started to hurt after a few months of wearing these shoes. Overall, awesome shoe for day-to-day running needs.
Very soft in the soles, right when you first wear them you feel like you´re putting in no effort. Later on once you break them in they still feel the same way. It Has a long lasting springy feeling that´ll be sure to keep comfort in your daily runs. They are excellent for speed work and can even work up to long runs.
