German Fernandez followed his '08 achilles-induced DNF with a 97th place performance in '09. He was the Cowboys' 5th man, making for some anxious moments after their top-4 finished in the top-30.
	Opening mile was fast but not insane: 5:01	This was the leading duo for the first half of the 6km women's race - Colorado's favored Jenny Barringer and 2nd-favorite Susan Kuijken of FSU and the Netherlands
