Hard to believe: The women's Mexican record in the 1500 was 4:11.26 until last month. Now Laura Galvan has run 4:10.53
Nora Rocha held the record of 4:11.26 from May 23, 1998 until July 19th when Laura Galvan ran 4:11.17 at Stumptown meet in Portland. Galvan broke that mark again at the Pan AMs last week when she ran 4:10.53 to place 4th (Galvan also won gold in the 5000).

Galvan competed collegiate for Kansas State (career ended in 2015). In college, she had PBs of 4:29/16:37 but now she's run 4:10/15:27.
