I quit smoking in March after 27 years. I was never a heavy smoker but the difference between now and then is incredible. Quite simply, you can only go so far with running as a smoker. You just can't get enough oxygen in your lungs to sustain distance running and you feel like a bag of crap getting in from a run, going straight into the garden and lighting up.

Plus there's less chance of you dying from cancer.
