Yep that's the one.
Your 2020 10,000m gold medal favorite Alex Yee!
Yee is what...25 seconds off the A standard?
And Kyle Langford has reached the A standard what, ....once in his life by 0.04 seconds?
Alex Yee is a triathlete who won the British championship 10000m in his first or second race at the distance at age 20. He is also, I think, half Asian.
I'm a hardcore racist for predicting that Kyle Langford and Jakob would win Gold in Tokyo??
When I made that post (which assumed hopefully that Kenya would be suspended before Tokyo and that Ethiopia would have minimal testing introduced, neither of which looks possible now), Kyle had just won silver in the Commonwealth Games less than a year after being cheated out of bronze at the WC by Bett. And still only 21. He then basically missed the next year with injury.
In the same thread I was also mocked by the same people for claiming Jakob would win double gold in Tokyo. Among the claims made by the knowledgeable trolls was that it would either be way to early for Jakob, Jakob was already burnt out, or that it's simply racist to suggest anyone whose skin color isn't black could possibly ever win a global championship in distance running.
Jakob's 1500 pb at the time 3:39.
Furthermore, the trolls had already started labelling me as a 'racist' for claiming correctly that Kenya had a massive doping problem (before the recent slew of busts began) and so, perhaps unwisely, I did make a few posts like that to bait them.
