We could be looking at gold for Coleman in the 100m, gold for Lyles in the 200m, gold for Norman in the 400m, gold for Benjamin in the 400mH (if eligible), and gold for the U.S. at 4x1 with Coleman and Lyles, and gold for the U.S. at 4x4 with Lyles (I really think with his 200 closing speed he could run a sub 44 split easily), Benjamin (if eligible), and Norman, plus Fred or Kahmari. We are back in the sprints.
Don't forget Grant or Roberts in the 110mhs. Lyles won't run the 4x4 but I hope they let him run the 4x1 even though he says he doesn't plan to run the 100m at USAs which could hurt his eligibility for the relay pool. My A team 4x1 for the US is Coleman to Gatlin to Holloway to Lyles. Holloway runs a curve like noone else, which is the reason Florida broke 38.00. Current A team 4x4 has Trevor Stewart, Montgomery or Kerley depending on how they shape up, and finished with Benjamin and Norman. Quincy Hall is also a good backup leg. I also really like Gillespie. I thought he was the dark horse for NCAAs and he put on a show. I do think the US has some people who could do well in a tactical 800 also. Brazier, Murphy, Harris, and Hoppel are all compelling athletes that could make it to finals at doha. A tossup for the 4x4 will be Tyrell Richard since he won indoors and dropped a 44.81 before getting hurt. Cherry and London are good prelim guys.
