Who, who, who, who and who?

Sorry but that’s how I feel

Rhonex Kipruto is kinda a big deal.

I’ve honestly never heard of him. And I’m a bigger running fan than 99.4% of the population

Unless you've been stuck in a cave for the last year and half. I don't know how you can claim to be a big running fan and not know who he is.

Okay, I’ve read up on him. Looks like he’s won in the U20 class, which I only pay passing attention to. Apart from that, he’s really done nothing on the senior circuit.

Kosgei looks like she’s had more success, but looks to be exclusively a marathon runner. I tend to pay more attention to track runners. On the marathon side, there just seems to be a parade of anonymous African runners who cycle in and out of the winners circle. With one or two more major victories I probably would have started to take note

Point is, if an avid fan has trouble recognizing these names, the casual fan has no hope

To bring you up to date:

Where I first heard about him, very impressive considering how hilly the course is:

Ran the 2nd Fastest 10k of all time:

6th overall this year at the world XC championship:

And currently holds the world lead in 10000m:
