You missed a couple of his performances on Pikes Peak -- the 1988 marathon and the 2012 ascent:

I'm inclined to believe that all five of his performances on Pikes Peak have been legitimate. And, as I believe I may have noted in a much earlier post, his performance in 1988 -- in particular, the ascent portion of the marathon -- suggests that, when he was 39, he was probably capable of something very close to a three-hour marathon. As I believe I also may have mentioned, he recorded a track 1500m time of (as I recall) 4:39 when he was in his early thirties, which is indicative of a fairly serious runner. (Since at least one person has misinterpreted my views about his marathon times in more recent years, I want to make clear that I am not at all suggesting that I believe that those times represent legitimate performances. I don't know if anyone on this thread honestly believes that they do.)
