Anyone want to tell me why I shouldn't sell a medium sized pot of bonds and use the proceeds to pay off my mortgage?

I can't imagine my bonds will get me more than 2% over the next 12 months, and my mortgage rate is 4%. I can't deduct any of that so the rate is the rate.

And I could very easily lose 2% in those bond funds. Can't lose paying off a mortgage.

Maybe taking advantage of this sharp move up would be smart. Seems to me the bond market just pre-awarded us most of the return for the next year.
