This tiny home episode showed up in my YouTube feed today and it reminds me what I envision all the LRC women are like. She lives by herself in an off grid yurt with no electricity, water, sewage, or car and only works two days a week as a nature guide for children doing whatever crafts "inspire her". My favorite quote from the video is, "I do shower....sometimes".
Is there a different kind of millennial besides a "modern day" one?
You could have said "nouveau hippie", "new age hippie", "millennial hippie" ... but what you wrote is really nonsense. Unless you were trying to distinguish this person from a modern hippie that is more than 37 years old.
I am no fan of hippies, or this lifestyle, but I only watched 1:30 of the video and I heard that she has a cell phone and a car. Not sure why some people equate this choice with it eventually going wrong and it costing you money. Lazy or disabled people are going to need public assistance eventually whether they live in a Yurt, off the grid, or whatever else. I guess what you are raging against is the lack of effort she makes to take care of herself in terms of health insurance? I agree with that complaint. Otherwise, I can't see any reason why anyone but her should care? She is the only one that will bear the brunt of any problems or shortcomings of her choice.
