RE: Tara Davis transfers from Georgia

So you sign the NLI with the intent of not fulfilling a 4(or 5) year commitment that it entails?
Still struggling with this.

Also someone mentioned Frerichs following a coach? Who was that? Does that make it ok to transfer? These rules are confusing on who is a diva and who isn't.

Tara told the coach she wanted to transfer during the term of the scholarship. In fact, she told him extremely late. That leaves the coach ZERO chance to be able to spend the scholarship to bring another athlete in. The team was relying on Tara to score points. Instead, she totally abandoned them all and ran to Texas. So she took Georgia's money for a free semester of tuition and then bailed. Now she wants to use the fitness and technical skill acquired AT Georgia to use AGAINST Georgia a mere few weeks after indicating she wants to transfer.

Tara made a commitment and wasn't willing or able to uphold her end of it. In addition, she ended her commitment in the worst way possible, at the worst moment possible.

You need to realize that this is Tara's fault. Not the NCAA's fault, not the coach's fault, not Georgia's fault. Tara's fault. She has to sit out a year because she screwed up. Tara knows it, but decided come up with a BS sob story to come off as the victim in a desperate attempt to guilt them into a release.
