Finally I am hearing some acknowledgement of EPS inflation via buybacks. With the cost of corporate paper rising, if buybacks trim next year, EPS will suck. Expectations should fall.
These legs down are terrific, it is an orderly withdrawal, without any limit-down shocks.
Had I bought the open, I would already have sold and taken the 130-point dow gain, using a geared vehicle, maybe 2x.
Volume has been up which should encourage buybacks especially among small and mid-sized companies.
