A 1:25:50 half a year ago is not relevant to fitness at the start of this plan or your current fitness.
Why are you skipping down weeks? They're there for a reason.
I'm not skipping down weeks. I am doing exactly the mileage he says, which is usually 63 miles on a down week and 70 otherwise.
I was running 45 miles per week leading up to that half marathon, with Tempo and interval workouts each week and with a long run of 13 miles. After that I continued 45 miles per week up until 6 months out from this marathon race. I then ramped up to 63 per week over 2 months so when I started the program I'd be ready to go.
I can tell I am in much better shape today then I was then.
