So let’s say it’s an $80k base pay.
That’s pretty good right out of college, let alone high school.
He can get a place or a roommate and live well.
He travels for free for meets. Gets meals paid for.
Adidas can pay his college tuition or reimburse it and it’s not taxable income to him.
It’s a common business expense.
This all marketing expense for Adidas and we are talking about them now.
Not a bad ROI probably.
Now, if Adidas did this for a college junior that had similar times but didn’t advance from the NCAA semis that would be a head scratcher.
But this is for potential and attention.
And they really got our attention.
