The original comment referred to buying in 2000. No specific date in that year was given. So I chose the low point generating an annualized return of 7.29%. Choosing the high point gives aan annualized return of 2.36%.
I think it’s safe to say that the vast majority of those who bought in 2000 are somewhere in between those two values.
