seems like he gets a free pass because he's an olympian and has had moderate success with big talents, like lomong, who should probably be better anyway. he knows diddlysquat about distance running and trains everyone like an 800 meter runner, so if tamu wanted him itd probably be a more logical fit. tosu has never really invested too much $$ in distance tho so maybe they just don't care if their head xc coach doesn't bother to show up for xc practices and makes up workouts on the spot. like someone said before talented athletes don't always translate into successful coaches, and kd seems to be a prime example.
