RE: Cross-Canada record attempt, 7200K - 66 days. Current record by Al Howie 72 days
I gotta say I've been a Jesse Riley fan forever. When I moved to South Texas, I was humbled to spy Don Winkley at races, and to remember all the tales I had read over the years over his adventures with Mr. Riley. (That crazy Australia run! Magic.) Jesse has been a true legend in the ultra community and has accomplished more that I could ever dream of. The races across America had me standing by my mailbox month after month for the updates in Ultrarunning. The Sri Chinmoy races. A multiday pedigree that few runners have come close to.

But, come on. We get it. You think the guy's cheating. I have no clue, other than to think you know a helluva lot more about multidays than me. But it seems like annoying people isn't going to win them over.

One thing you learn in ultras is pacing. Maybe it's time to let up a little, especially given that it seems like he's on a downward spiral and Al's record is in no way endangered?

Just wondering.

Sincerely (really),

a huge fan of yours.
