You don’t have abs because you don’t have any muscles. Forget pushups and planks- lift real weight if you want your abs to pop. I’m talking squats and deadlifts, even bench press. Do exercises that you can lift the most amount of weight with and your core will have no choice but to get way stronger. Planks are for old ladies.
Will any of this make you a better runner? Probably not. You’d be better served using your extra time to run more, of course. But if you’d rather have abs, that’s the way to do it.
