RE: Cross-Canada record attempt, 7200K - 66 days. Current record by Al Howie 72 days

A race like the six-day he did. Only 100 kms/day, about half Kouros’ pace! Al Howie did 1000 miles (as a split!) in 12 days.

well, in the end, yes 100km/day average ...but he dropped out on day 4 due to infected blister so not really a good indication of his abilities . First 3 days (72hrs) he was at 500km which is a Canadian record so not too shabby.

- he has Canadian record for 24hrs (260km) and was 6th at the 24hr world championships
- course records for a lot of western Canadian ultras like Sinister 7, Lost Soul (he commuted 170km to the race like Al used to do and still got course record)

It seems you just have a bias against him since you were involved with Als record
