I did it myself. David Blaikie of Ultramarathon Canada instructed me. All on paper, including hundreds of witnesses roadside. Plus, famous runners met us. UltraRunning magazine still has my articles online.
I believe you were with him - although I will note that all of what you just said would not be enough to prove anything today - but how specifically did you record distance, time, pace etc.
1.) What were you using recording running distance per day? A vehicles odometer?
2.) How were you recording time?
3.) How were you keeping track of pace on a mile to mile basis, or were you?
